Arca’s Yard

A Cozy House-Turned Café in the Hills of La Trinidad
Located along the panoramic Ambuklao Road in Tiptop, La Trinidad, Benguet, Arca’s Yard isn't just a dining destination, it’s a haven of warmth, culture, and stunning views. The once family home turned to a cafe that welcomes travelers, foodies, artists, and students alike.

A Little History

Arca’s Yard was once a residence of a Cordilleran family with a deep appreciation for art, books, and nature. Over time, the home naturally evolved into a café and gallery space as visitors, friends, travelers, and neighbors were invited in to share meals, stories, and the spectacular view of the Benguet mountains. Today, Arca’s Yard remains true to its roots: a home first, where every guest is treated like family.

The Place & Ambiance

Stepping into Arca’s Yard feels like walking into a well-loved home. Wooden interiors, book-filled shelves, and art pieces crafted by local artists bring a cozy, rustic charm. Cushioned nooks by the windows invite you to curl up with a book or simply gaze out at the rolling pine-clad hills.

The café flows across several levels of the old house, each corner offering its own kind of intimacy whether you’re tucked in a quiet reading corner, seated at a communal wooden table, or out on the balcony where the mountain breeze is at its best.

The space feels relaxed and cozy. Time seems to slow down as conversations linger. It’s the kind of place where you can sip tea on a rainy afternoon, write in your journal, or share laughter with friends while surrounded by the scent of pine and coffee.

The View

One of Arca’s Yard’s treasures is its panoramic view. From the balcony, visitors are treated to sweeping sights of Benguet’s mountains and valleys. At sunrise, the sky glows golden over the ridges; in the afternoon, soft mist sometimes rolls in, wrapping the landscape in a dreamy haze. Whether it’s a clear day or a foggy one, the scenery adds a magical backdrop to every visit.

The Food

The menu at Arca’s Yard is a blend of comfort and creativity. Hearty Filipino dishes like pinikpikan and mountain rice share space with lighter café fare such as sandwiches, pasta, and their much-loved camote pie. Pair these with brewed coffee, mountain tea, or fruit shakes made from locally sourced produce. Meals here are not just about flavors, they are about nourishment and the feeling of being cared for, just like when you’re eating at home.

More Than Just Dining, It’s an Experience

Arca’s Yard isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to pause. Here, every detail, the art on the walls, the books waiting to be read, the aroma of fresh coffee, and the view outside contributes to an experience that nourishes both body and soul. Guests don’t just come for the food; they come for the feeling of being at home while away from home.

Whether you’re a local looking for a peaceful retreat, a traveler searching for authentic Cordilleran hospitality, or an artist seeking inspiration, Arca’s Yard offers more than a meal, it offers a memory.
