Most blogs kick off with a proper introduction—so here I am, channeling my inner grade-schooler, standing in front of the class, awkwardly telling you about myself. But hey, let’s skip the awkward part and get real.
I’m Rizza, a proud southerner and an even prouder mom of four amazing kids. Yep, four! I’m also a happy single mom, navigating life one day (and one coffee) at a time. I used to work in a call center—back when people jokingly called me a “call girl” (relax, it’s because I was a girl… working in a call center).
But life had other plans. Stress and sleepless nights caught up with me, and I got ill, but fortunately I recovered. So to my friends still in the BPO industry: take care of yourselves. Seriously. No job is worth your well-being.
Now, let’s talk hobbies—because yes, I do more than just chase kids around and binge rice.
First off, I’m a sucker for DVD movies. Romance, to be exact. Give me a love story with a little drama and a lot of tears, and I’m all in—with popcorn, tissues, and maybe a sarcastic running commentary. I also love to cook, but I'm really not a good cook. I just cook, that's it, lol.
Travel? Oh yes, sign me up—especially long out-of-town trips where I can pretend I’m living my best life.. I also love books, and by love, I mean I’ve emotionally invested in the lives of fictional characters, particularly those crafted by Danielle Steel and Nicholas Sparks. If they’ve written it, I’ve cried over it.
Other hobbies? Writing dramatic stories, surfing the internet like a digital beach bum, and making friends across the globe through random networking sites. I love chatting with people from other countries—they open my mind to new cultures, religions, and wild life stories that beat any reality show.
Oh, and did I mention I play the piano? I do! And I sing, too—usually when no one’s around, or when I feel like unleashing my inner diva. Think concert-in-the-shower meets karaoke-in-the-living-room.
But out of all my hobbies—and trust me, there are quite a few—my absolute favorite is simply chatting and sharing stories about my life with friends. There’s just something incredibly fulfilling about opening up, swapping tales, and realizing that even the most random moments in my life can inspire, entertain, or help someone else.
That’s when it hit me—why not create a space where I can do that with even more people? A place to spill my thoughts, my travels, my passions, and maybe a few kitchen disasters along the way. And just like that… poof! this blog was born. So here I am—storyteller, oversharer, and your newest internet friend.
Some of the things I’ll be sharing here? A little bit of everything that makes life interesting—my travel adventures, the wild and wonderful ride of motherhood, honest food and movie reviews, health tips from my own journey, and maybe even a sprinkle of fashion (though I’ll admit, I’m more comfy chic than runway ready—but hey, I’ll give it a shot!).
Basically, this blog will be a mixed bag of stories, experiences, and everyday magic. I’m just here to share my world with you—and I hope you find something here that makes you smile, think, or feel a little less alone.
